I have always been a creative, crafty girl. I grew up drawing, painting, sewing, macromeing . . . I was into anything artsy or crafty. This eventually lead me to study graphic design in college and pursue a career in the field. One of the things I missed when I started working professionally as a designer was working with my hands. So much of design is done on the computer and I longed to create with more than just a keyboard and mouse. I soon found myself sewing again in my spare time and I also picked up knitting and crocheting. After creating many handmade gifts for friends and family, I thought it would be fun to share my creations with others.
I have also been blessed to always have the love and support of my family. I choose the name Lilly Jean Creations as a tribute to my grandmothers (Lillian and Vera Jean). I spent many a day as a young girl either playing dress up with grandma's old clothes or learning to quilt, sew, cook and create with these wonderful women. I hope the love and support I received from them comes through in my creations.
