Let's Go to the Farmer's Market

It took me an entire year to finish this project. I know, kind of ridiculous. I started it using a different pattern and something about it wasn't going right. I ended up putting it away and not until mid-February of this year did I decide I needed to get it done. It was to be for my sister-in-law for her birthday . . . last year. Alas, "better late than never?" It turned out super cute and I am hoping to make a few more at some point. I picture this as a great bag for the farmer's market and picking up fresh produce or flowers. I found the pattern HERE.

She Loves to Color . . .

So I thought it would be fun to make a gift for her aunt and uncle using her drawings. I had Alice color on tissue paper, then I cut the paper into small squares and decoupaged it to a glass candle holder. It was fun, a little messy, but turned out fairly cute. It's a little crafty cheesy, but my brother has told me it now has a prominent place in their home :) They live far away, so I thought it would be fun for them to have something in their home that she helped create. Here are a few pictures of the final product:

Foxy Little Lady

In the last few months I've been mostly making gifts. I finally got around to crocheting a fox hat for our dear friends who just welcomed their daughter this past weekend. At the time of it's creation, we did not know the sex of the baby, so I thought a fox was something that could easily work for a baby boy or girl. It turned out so cute! I may have to make one for Miss Alice for next fall and winter. Here is the final product:
I used the same standard earflap hat pattern I've been using and found a picture online of another hat and copied it. Easy peasy :) Can't wait to see their little girl wearing it in another 6 or 8 months!
